Kim Woods, the Grand Forks Children’s Museum Community Engagement Director, had the opportunity to present information on the Grand Forks Children’s Museum and Destination Park project to the Sertoma Club of Greater Grand Forks. This organization is well known throughout our community for the good work that they do, including the very popular Sertoma 4th of July Festival.
The club represents the best of Grand Forks, as exemplified by their motto, ‘Service to Mankind’. While their stated mission is ‘championing the cause of promoting better speech and hearing’, Sertoma is involved in many charitable outreach programs in our area, including food banks, blood drives, and their signature event on J4 that brings community festivities to our entire area. Thank you, Sertoma, for all you do for Grand Forks.
We are grateful for the warm reception and the all the good questions that were asked. We hope for your support for the Grand Forks Children’s Museum and Destination Park…we are two organizations with similar missions…being a treasure for our community.
