Star Seekers Fundraiser: A Night to Remember for the Grand Forks Children's Museum

The momentum for the Grand Forks Children's Museum has been nothing short of extraordinary! The recent Star Seekers Dinner was a testament to the community's unwavering support and enthusiasm. The energy at the event was unparalleled, setting a new standard for fundraisers in Grand Forks.

Dave Berger, our charismatic emcee, kept the evening lively and engaging, while

the museum’s Katie Mayer's leadership shone brightly throughout the event. The volunteer team, including Sandy Norby, Sadie Gardner, Chilly Goodman, Kim

Woods, Pam Laffen, Maura Tanabe, and the entire GFCM board of directors and staff, was exceptional, ensuring everything ran smoothly and everyone felt welcomed.

One of the highlights of the evening was the Star Waiters showcasing their unique talents. UND President Andy Armacost wowed the crowd with his juggling skills. Molly Yeh's (author and food network star) impromptu auction for a dinner turned into an exciting bidding war. Anna Rosburg, the Alerus Center Ticket Fairy, and Jill Nelson (Grand Forks Park District), who sold her custom-made GFCM buttons, added to the night's charm and excitement. One unexpected highlight was

Chris Wolf (Alerus Financial) singing Sweet Caroline and watching the crowd crashing into each other as they threw money at him. So fun!

The cheers were loud, the smiles were wide, and the passion for building the museum was palpable. It was truly a night to remember, filled with joy, laughter, and a shared commitment to creating a vibrant educational hub for our community. The Star Seekers Dinner has set the stage for a bright future for the Children's Museum, and we are grateful for the incredible support from

everyone who participated.
